Since 1973 MarecoLuce has made lighting systems for indoor and outdoor. Through the substantial range of its products, the company serves the needs of a diverse clientele, from private to public administration, while maintaining a good balance between costs and high standards of product.

Operating in national and international markets, the company has a particular sensitivity to the so-called "visual pollution" building increasingly sought after solutions, both in terms of applied technology and design.

THE NEEDS

  • Organizing the management of product estimation in a centralized context; 
  • Monitor the sales network through a centralized CRM;
  • Manage the approval of orders with an authorization flow;
  • Manage the planning of internal warehouse logistics with movements in real time;
  • Manage the inventory in a revolving manner without stopping business;
  • Schedule shipments according to the material in stock;
  • Manage incoming goods according to a quality control processing the supplier order;
  • Production planning (MPS), according to a mix of MTO (Make to Order) and MTS (Make to Stock)
  • Manage the production progress in an integrated way 
  • Perform effective cost control and overturning on standards
  • Issue electronic billing of documents via certified mail
  • Build a Content Management environment to share technical documents of the products with external structures, design studios and agents.

THE SOLUTION

Thanks to the special attention of the Management Company of Marecoluce in the drafting stage, Arti Informatiche, in a record time of six months, managed to migrate the set of basic data (including historical) from the previous AS400 platform to Ideale2005. Thanks to the strong determination of the board of directors, as well as to the cooperation of all corporate departments, it has been possible to build a reorganization process, bringing a contemporary range of technologies and benefits:

  • Wi.Fi. Coverage  in the sales and storage departments it has made possible the introduction of WMS  IdealeMobile to respond effectively to the traceability of all production and logistics processes
  • The implementation of a virtualization system has enabled the rapid integration of management software Ideale2005 and quick migration of the data needed
  • The introduction of a CRM environment for monitoring the sales activities.
  • The introduction of the CMS for managing the technical documentation attached to the management software
  • The implementation of Supervisor for the automation of processes and operational notifications 
  • The integration of Business Intelligence to monitor real-time data

THE BENEFITS

  • INTEGRATED SYSTEM: The use of multiple unified technologies has allowed the company to concentrate its investments on the added value of the unified products, rather than hazardous, heavy and unproductive data replication activities.
  • REAL TIME MANAGEMENT: A positive consequence of the integrated system is the ability to work with the correct information avoiding time latency for updates and redundant data. As for  logistic procedures, the personnel is able to correct information that are immediately made available to all other operating departments, sales, purchasing, administration.
  • PRO-ACTIVE ORGANIZATION: With the application Supervisor, the company is guaranteed by a careful and constant monitoring of the situations deemed most critical, in order not to lose sight of organizational information, even related to the most distracted staff. Continuous monitoring of business processes allows, even in the absence of personnel, to request immediate corrective action.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Through the integrated CMS, it was possible to integrate heterogeneous information as a pdf files, lighting cards, construction property of the items, with the sales network through an always on-line site integrated with the management software, even when the company  is not operational.
  • SALES NETWORK: Through OpportunityPlan, the integrated CRM, the whole process of pre-sales and marketing can always be kept under control. A quote switches to a customer order automatically, linking all the pre-sale information to the actual sale. The quote fit is able to give a projection on the sales budget for the next quarter. Specific documents such as Project protection have been implemented.
