Bill of materials

The "Bill of materials" module is particularly used by production companies, as it allows both the determination of the structure of a finished product, and the analysis of costs associated with it.

The list is organized by an unlimited number of layers or components. Each component can indeed be a final layer, or be composed by other layers. The relationship of each component with its elements is of the father-son type. You may need to use 'ghost codes' and 'ghost layers', which are then bypassed by the production screening methods.

To facilitate and expedite the preparation of the bills of materials are expected both a duplicating function and appropriate implosion and explosion prints appropriate of the same (in vertical format, by level and summary), which show the composition of the bills of materials and numerous lists for calculating the component requirements.

Each bill may be referred to a cycle, including a list of the resources (for example performance of labor) needed to produce the item related to the bill. For each resource must be shown the amount needed (e.g .30 minutes for packaging) and unit cost. This combination allows to have more detailed information, and above all to obtain the total cost of the bill including the cost of the materials used for the processing, and any other indirect costs attributable to that item. Also, there is the opportunity to define a reasonable selling price thanks to a mark-up.
