Production orders

The "production orders" module can, based on customers orders, create production plans.  An order may be generated by:

  • One or more rows of customer orders previously placed
  • One or more items that are understock at a specific date
  • One or more items deriving from the sales forecast module relating to a period of time

In the first case we are going to manage a company working by sales orders (make to order), in the second case, a company that works by stock (make to stock), in the third, one actually working by forecast (make to stock), and, in the last, companies working, for example, partly by stock and partly by order (assembly to order).

Production orders can be multi- or single-product, and can be grouped by customer or  sales contract.

The module can handle the production order also as a grouping of items to be produced at a specific date.

There are procedures for assessing the progress of the order and perform an analysis on its costs, both preventive and on completion.
